The Pete Store is a growing network of full service Peterbilt franchise truck dealerships, with locations spanning the East Coast from New England to Miami. The Pete Store is a family owned and operated dealership group.

 

This position will report to and work closely with our General Counsel to assist with legal research and various legal projects. Will review, define, create, and edit legal documents and contracts, including, but not limited to, internal policies and procedures, vendor and customer agreements, NDAs, financing agreements, franchise agreements, demands, legal pleadings, etc. This role has the potential to assist with asset and real estate acquisition transactions in Florida and other states within our territory. Will conduct research and create a “State Matrix” summarizing all statutory requirements and the process for federal and state law compliance matters in the jurisdictions where we do business. Interns gain practical in-house experience. Must be a current law school student. Rising 2L, 3L, and LLM students are preferred.

 

Location: The Peterbilt Store – Fort Lauderdale, 2441 S. State Road 7, Fort Lauderdale Fl 33317

 

This position is considered for in-person only. No opportunity for remote.

Tentative Program Dates:  TBD-12 weeks anticipated mid January – mid May (flexible)

 

Tentative Schedule: (TBD with preference for T/TH)- anticipated approximately 2 days or 16 hours a week with the potential for more

 

Compensation: $20 - $25 / hour depending on experience
